A Builder Who Gives Back
We at Bear Creek Homes believe that when people put forth their skills and talents to help others in need it improves the health of the community overall. Even if some of us can only give a little bit, when we get together as a group, we can accomplish a lot more.
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
Dripping Springs Community Mission Partnership
During the winter of 2010, Chuck Lemmond, a local builder and coordinator for community help projects for the Dripping Springs United Methodist Church, received a call for help. A young, recently widowed mother of five children ages twelve and under had frozen pipes in her mobile home.
Upon examining her issue, Chuck realized plumbing was the least of Rocio Flores’ problems. There was black mold on the walls, a leak in the roof, and sky peaking through the walls.
Chuck fixed her immediate plumbing issue, and told Rocio that he didn’t know how he was going to do it, but he was going to find her a new home. And with that promise, DSCMP was born.
Established in 2010, Dripping Springs Community Mission Partnership (DSCMP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit comprised of volunteers who help the under-served in the Dripping Springs area acquire safe, healthy, livable housing and improve life skills.
Builder, Chuck Lemmond, is committed to improving the lives and living conditions for those who need help. Chuck utilizes his skills and expertise in home building to make an impact in their lives and ultimately help strengthen the community in which he lives and supports.
